CommunityCAD for Klipper
Troubleshooting
Common problems, the health check, and where the logs are.
Describes the private beta build of October 2026. Features may change before launch.
Common problems#
CommunityCAD disappeared from Mainsail or Fluidd#
Usually something rewrote the nginx site that serves your interface. Reinstalling or repairing Mainsail with KIAUH does this. Run the health check from the plugin's folder:
./scripts/healthcheck.sh
If it reports the include is missing, run ./scripts/install.sh again; your settings and link are kept. The plugin also checks for this every 15 minutes.
I see an old version of the page#
If you installed Mainsail as an app (a PWA), an update can leave an old page cached. Reload with the cache cleared, or remove and re-add the app. healthcheck.sh reports this case.
If your nginx serves pre-compressed pages (gzip_static with .gz files), the plugin can't add itself; the installer and health check tell you which file to remove.
The plugin doesn't load after a Moonraker restart#
Check ~/printer_data/logs/moonraker.log for lines mentioning communitycad.
"Can't reach CommunityCAD"#
Your printer has no internet connection, or CommunityCAD is down. Your printer works as normal; choose Retry later. Shares wait in the outbox and upload on their own.
"This printer was disconnected from your account"#
The printer was disconnected on the website (profile → Printers). Choose Reconnect to link it again.
"Update available"#
CommunityCAD needs a newer plugin for some actions. Update from the Update panel in Mainsail or Fluidd.
I've reached my download limit#
The message says when it resets (midnight UTC for daily limits, Monday 00:00 UTC for weekly ones). Your own models never count. See Membership tiers.
Slicing isn't available#
On-printer slicing needs install-orca.sh and a 64-bit OS on a Pi 4 or 5. You also can't slice while a print is running.
Linking doesn't finish#
- The code expired: codes last 10 minutes. Choose Get a new code on the printer.
- Wrong account: the printer links to whichever account you're signed in to on the site when you approve the code. If you have more than one, check which one first. (When another of your printers is already linked, the plugin reminds you which account it uses.)
- Approved, but the printer still waits: the printer needs internet access to finish. Check it can reach
communitycad.dev, then start again.
Known limitations#
See The beta.
