Klipper plugin docs: The beta

CommunityCAD for Klipper

The beta

What's in the beta, known issues, and how to give feedback.

Describes the private beta build of October 2026. Features may change before launch.

Thanks for testing CommunityCAD for Klipper. The beta is invite-only while we finish the plugin and make sure it works on more printers than ours.

What's in the beta#

Everything in these docs is in the beta unless it's marked as planned:

  • browsing and searching CommunityCAD, filtered to your printer;
  • sending files to the printer, with printer matching, confirmation and queueing;
  • on-printer slicing with OrcaSlicer, with projects, materials and print profiles, and Orca import and export;
  • sharing print profiles and print posts, with drafts and automatic sharing;
  • Mainsail and Fluidd, several printers per Pi.

Still being worked on#

  • polish across the interface;
  • end-to-end testing of sharing;
  • sending a model to your printer from the CommunityCAD website (planned);
  • keeping a print profile private until you publish it (planned);
  • slicing while a print is running (planned).

Known issues#

  • Fluidd has no dashboard panel yet.
  • Delta printers aren't filtered by size.
  • Prints from before the plugin was installed can't be shared.
  • Reinstalling or repairing Mainsail with KIAUH removes the plugin from the page; re-run the installer (see Troubleshooting).
  • Printers with locked-down vendor firmware haven't been tested.
  • There's no public release yet, so updates during the beta are installed as described in your invite.

Giving feedback#

We want to hear about anything confusing, broken or missing, including in these docs and in the Terms of Service.

  • Email contact@communitycad.dev, or use the beta channel you were invited through.
  • For a bug, include what you did, what happened, the plugin version (About tab), Mainsail or Fluidd, and, if it wouldn't load, the communitycad lines from ~/printer_data/logs/moonraker.log. See Reporting a problem.
  • Never send your credentials.json or anything from ~/printer_data/communitycad.

Your account during the beta#

The beta uses the real CommunityCAD site and your real account. Downloads count toward your download limits, and anything you share is public, as described in Sharing prints.
