Conventions
» Where makers differ: The largest stated can, body, shaft length and bosses, and the highest stated maximum over the end bell, so a mount made to the model clears every maker's motor; each maker's value is on the size's page.
« Can and end cap: Nickel- plated can, its front edge rounded 0.03 D; the rear 0.18 L is the end cap: black nylon set in from the wall on the 130 and 280, a steel end bell with a seam groove, brush-holder bulges (to Dx where stated) and four vent windows over a nylon brush plate on the 540, 550 and 775. Illustrative, checked for fit only.
« Holes, face and shaft: Tapped holes as plain bores at the thread's nominal diameter, 1.5 x that deep (the 280's plain holes the same at dh); two shallow vent slots in the large cans' face; chamfers on the shaft's end and the front boss. Illustrative.
e Terminals and mark: Two tinned solder tabs at the rear on +X, each with a hole; a red polarity dot beside the + tab; the CommunityCAD mark debossed in the rear face. Illustrative.
« Modeled from Mabuchi's RC-280RA and Johnson Electric's NF213G drawings. Johnson Electric's NF213G is flat- sided (#1369 item 1); its face and shaft back this round can.
+ Where the makers' drawings differ, the model takes the largest stated, so a mount made to it clears every maker's motor (ADR 0134 row 4): shaft length E 12.2 mm (Johnson Electric 10.5, Mabuchi 12.2); front boss B 6.35 mm (Johnson Electric 6.15, Mabuchi 6.35); rear boss Br 8.5 mm (Johnson Electric 6.25, Mabuchi 8.5); rear boss height hr 2.8 mm (Johnson Electric 2.8, Mabuchi 2). Check your own motor's drawing where it matters.
